CCEE1821 NEWS

Anne is back this week with the next challenge.

"I wake up in the morning to the NEWS.  Make a card using each of these letters ..... N, E, W, S."

So, my card today is using Not so Navy for my N and the sentiment is a new stamp. My E is embossing for the sentiment, and the enamel dots. W is for the white embossing powder and dots and also the washi tape. S is for the sunflower image, which is from Flourishes.

Hope you join in on the fun this week. Use the CCEE1821 for your keyword if loading to SCS. Check out all the team members' cards over on the CCEEStampers blog.

CCEE1820 from the stash

Anne is again our hostess for this week's challenge. She has asked us to dip into our paper stashes and make a card. I love buying fancy papers and I stick them away for those extra special cards. Then, too often I forget I even have it. So this week gave me reason to go through the piles. I found these two embossed shimmering white pieces that I thought I would combine on my card design. I was going to make it a wedding card, but could not find a sentiment that would fit this diecut tag, so I used this one from Stampin' Up that I think has never had ink on it. So, technically, the stamp was some of my stash that got used as well.  Hope you go over and check out the other team members cards over on the CCEEStampers blog. HERE. If you post your card on SCS be sure to use the CCEE1820 as your keyword. You can link your card over on the blogsite.

I made this card for today's Color Throwdown Challenge that can be seen HERE.
The colors were aqua, lime, and white. I had this pretty embossed pearlized paper left from a previous card, so I used it on this one. The flower stamp is from Hero Arts. I colored it with copic markers.  The sentiment is from Stampin' Up.

So honored by my card getting selected. I look forward to participating with the team next week.

RNC #33 - Embossing

Embossing is one of my favorite techniques, and I love inking the inside of an embossing folder with oxide ink, spritzing it with water, and then running through my embossing machine. The sentiment and the butterfly stamp is from Rubbernecker. I added a diecut tag and punched flowers and leaves.
Find the challenge HERE.

Just Us Girls Challenge #440 stenciling

Inspired by the Just Us Girls Challenge #440 this week to use stenciling. I love using my Oxide inks to do stenciling and sponging. I also used the negative side of  die cut leaves to stencil with also. I stamped the flower image onto the card and then stamped it on another piece of paper. I cut out the flower and open bud and glued over the stamped image

Embossing Rubbernecker challenge this week

I will try to load this card one more time to the Rubbernecker Challenge #33 . I really liked the way it turned out but there was a glitch on the linky and I don't seem to be able to get it resolved. The stamps I used are from Rubbernecker and I inked the inside of my Sizzix embossing folder with twisted burlap oxide ink before I embossed the background. I loved how it turned out.

CCEE1819 Red for Anne

Anne is our hostess for May and this week is also Anne's birthday. She loves RED so she wants us to use red on our challenge cards. This rose stamp is from Rubbernecker and of course, red roses are more than appropriate for honoring someone on their birthday, so these are for you, sweet Anne.
The sentiment is an old retired SU one, and the little speckled stamp I used is one of my favorite of retired SU stamps that I use all the time.

Please come join in on the fun and honor Anne on her birthday and load your card on the CCEEStampers' blog. Use the CCEE1819 for your keyword on SCS.
